Preventative Services

HIV/AIDS Prevention

No one is immune to the HIV infection and all are at risk of contracting it.
At ACCESS AIDS Care, we provide HIV prevention services and education to individuals who are currently HIV-negative. Our goal is to keep those who are currently HIV- negative, negative in the future. We are here to help manage the risks of contracting HIV in a nonjudgmental and culturally competent way. We have projects that provide services to different sectors within the Hampton Roads community:

Each prevention project conducts outreach activities throughout the Hampton Roads area to increase awareness of HIV / AIDS.  During outreach activities, safer sex kits are distributed containing: condoms, lube, information on HIV and instructions on proper use of condoms.
