Serving & Educating

ACCESS provides comprehensive services to individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. This includes serving those living with HIV/AIDS as wellas educating the greater community about HIV as well as other STDs.

Improving quality of life

Upon entry into the program, and throughout their participation, the individual/family is referred to services that meet their needs with the goal of maintaining and improving their quality of life.

Case Management

Case Management services are designed to assist in providing critical HIV/AIDS support services to individuals and their families. This service is supported by Ryan White Title I, Medicaid AIDS Waiver and HUD Funding. It provides services to over 500 individuals.

Housing Services

This program includes both housing assistance and/or rental subsidies. Over 100 people are enrolled in permanent supportive housing or transitional housing programs.

In the last year, ACCESS has served almost 450 individuals living with HIV/AIDS and many more affected family members including over 150 children in Hampton Roads.	80% of our consumers are African American, 14% Caucasian and 3% Hispanic. 57% of our consumers are women and 42% are men. Of these, 9% are children or youth under the age of 19. Over 150 HIV tests have been conducted in 2006.
